2

Surgery day

Everything is prepared in advance so that you have a successful procedure. Sleep comfortably while Dr. Bennett performs your surgery. You leave the same day with temporary teeth that look like your natural teeth. No one will know they are not your own.

3

Your final smile

Once healing is complete, your dentist will perform a series of steps to finalize your prosthesis. Modifications are built in, and your satisfaction is guaranteed. A natural, healthy-looking smile, with no restrictions. Eat whatever you want.

The Specialist Difference

Every step, done by the specialist who trained for it

Some practices advertise that one general dentist does everything under one roof: the surgery, the sedation, and the final teeth. Convenient for the practice is not the same as best for the patient.

The one-roof approach

One general dentist doing everything

  • One person plans your case, performs the surgery, designs your final teeth, and manages your sedation, working alone
  • Implant training from short courses and manufacturer programs, not a surgical residency
  • No hospital-based training in anesthesia and surgical emergencies behind the sedation you receive
  • Your own dentist is cut out of the process entirely
  • If a surgical problem arises, you are sent to an oral and maxillofacial surgeon after all
The Glacial Sands OMS team

A specialist for every step

  • Your new smile is designed collaboratively by Dr. Bennett, our in-house prosthodontist consultant, and your dentist
  • Your surgery is performed by Dr. Bennett, a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, with specialized training in face, mouth, and jaw surgery, including a hospital-based anesthesia residency
  • Your same-day teeth are fabricated in advance by a local premium laboratory that specializes in full arch treatment
  • Your sedation is provided by Dr. Bennett or a trained anesthesiologist, depending on your case
  • Your own dentist stays in the loop from the first visit to the final result
The Research

There’s research behind choosing a woman surgeon.

In a JAMA Surgery study of more than 1.1 million surgical patients, patients treated by women surgeons had lower rates of complications, readmission, and death than patients treated by men, at both 90 days and one year after surgery. At Glacial Sands OMS, every surgery is performed by Dr. Sonia Bennett, a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon.

10-Year

Implant Guarantee*

We warranty your implants for ten years after surgery, and there is a lifetime warranty on manufacturer’s defects. Modern implants are known to stay healthy for at least 40 years, and with the right guidance you can anticipate a lifetime of healthy implants.

*With post-treatment compliance, including recommended maintenance and hygiene visits. Ask for details at your consultation.

Complex Cases

Told you weren’t a candidate for implants?

Patients hear it every day. Not enough bone. A medical condition rules you out. You are too old. It costs too much. Or a first attempt somewhere else already failed. Dr. Bennett, a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, takes the cases other offices turn down, including zygomatic and pterygoid implants that anchor beyond the jaw, partial extraction therapy, and FP1 arches, the teeth-only design with no artificial gum line, where your bone and tissue allow.

And consider this: the person who will handle your complications is also the person least likely to cause them. Dr. Bennett receives the complicated cases, and the redos. Do it once, do it right. The most expensive option is the one that has to be done twice.

A second opinion is free with a valid treatment plan.

Cost & Financing

Honest pricing, in writing, before you commit

Full arch treatment is a serious investment, and every case is different, so we will not quote you a made-up number online. What we promise instead: a written estimate for your exact treatment, in hand before you decide anything. Your estimate covers pre-surgical diagnostics, your new smile design, all laboratory fees including your same-day teeth and additional prototypes as needed, your final zirconia prosthesis, and surgeon fees from planning to completion, with surgery and anesthesia planned together. No hidden fees, no surprises, no upgrade fees. One exception, stated up front: when a case requires an outside anesthesiologist, her time can be additional, and it is quoted as a range in writing before you commit.

Written estimate

Your full cost, in writing, at the consultation. No surprises added later.

Financing available

CareCredit and Cherry financing, including 0% plans for qualified patients, can spread treatment into monthly payments. Want the monthly number before you visit? Start with a free virtual consultation with Cilestia — she will talk through financing and monthly payment estimates for your case. No X-ray, no pressure.

Phased options

When it makes sense for your case and your budget, treatment can be phased. We will lay out the options at your visit.

Common Questions

Answers, in plain language

Am I a candidate for full arch implants?

Most adults who are missing most or all of their teeth, or whose remaining teeth are failing, are candidates. Your consultation includes 3D imaging so Dr. Bennett can see your bone and health picture clearly. If full arch treatment is not right for you, we will tell you honestly and explain your alternatives.

Will it hurt?

Your surgery is done with sedation matched to your case, including IV sedation and general anesthesia options, and your comfort is monitored continuously. Dr. Bennett's hospital residency training included anesthesia, which is part of why patients who are anxious about dental work choose a surgical specialist. Most patients tell us recovery was easier than they expected.

How long does the whole process take?

It starts with the consultation. On surgery day Dr. Bennett performs your surgery and you leave with temporary teeth. Your final zirconia prosthesis is seated after a healing period of a few months, once the implants have integrated. You will get your exact timeline in writing at your consultation.

Do you take my insurance?

Glacial Sands OMS is an out-of-network practice, which is part of how we keep treatment decisions between you and your doctors rather than an insurance company. We file dental and medical claims as a courtesy, and your written estimate shows your cost before treatment, so there are no surprises.

Can I keep my own dentist?

Yes, and we encourage it. Many of our patients come to us through their own dentist, and your dentist stays in the loop throughout your treatment. Specialist care works best as a team, and your dentist is part of that team. And if you are without a dentist, we will help match you to a trusted provider in our area.

What does the consultation cost?

The consultation fee is $150, including all X-rays and 3D imaging, credited towards your surgery when you move forward with treatment. A second opinion is free with a valid treatment plan.*

Is there a guarantee?

Yes. We warranty your implants for ten years after surgery, and there is a lifetime warranty on manufacturer’s defects. Keeping it in force includes recommended maintenance and hygiene visits. Full details are provided in writing at your consultation.

Can I start with a virtual consultation?

Yes. Your first consultation can be held virtually by Google Meet, and no X-ray is needed to start. If you have a panoramic X-ray, called a pano, whatever its age, we will review it together. We talk through your options and outline your plan. A 3D CBCT scan in our office is still part of final surgical planning, and your written estimate is confirmed once complete imaging is in hand. And if you are not ready for that step, start with a complimentary virtual consultation with Cilestia, our implant coordinator: no X-ray required, just a conversation about your goals, concerns, timeline, and finances. Call or text (219) 964-4321 and we will set it up.

Why not just get everything done at one general practice?

Because the two halves of this treatment are two different specialties. A board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon spent years in a hospital residency training to perform this surgery and manage anesthesia safely. A prosthodontist spent years of additional training learning to design the prosthesis, the bite and fit your joints depend on. One person can offer to do both. Specialists exist so that you do not have to settle for that.
